Building a Little Home in Summer

Sunshine’s Employee–Child Family Day

Sunshine Summer Family Series
On a July weekend, the lawn at Zhejiang Sunshine Leisure Products Co., Ltd. filled with playful tents. They were not display models. They were little summer homes built by employees and their children—together.
01. A Tent-Building Team Challenge
As soon as the whistle blew, the lawn came alive. Some families divided the work with perfect efficiency: children handed over the parts while parents assembled the frames. Others laughed their way through the challenge—their tent leaned over three times before finally standing tall on the fourth try.

Building together, one piece at a time.

| “Mom, does this pole go through here?” “Dad, hold it steady—I’ll pull the guyline!” |
One father, who works in assembly, smiled and said, “At work I assemble products. Today I’m building in a competition with my son. He’s my little assistant—and our teamwork is even better than a machine.”

02. Children Turn Tents into Homes
The children immediately became “tent designers.” One drew a sun and clouds. Another covered a tent with star stickers and named it the “Starry Sky Cottage.” One little girl hung a decoration showing three figures holding hands—herself, her father, and her mother.

03. Snack Time inside the Tents
After the competition, every family received a snack box with cut fruit and yogurt. The children crawled into their tents and invited their parents to “come visit my home.” In that moment, the tents stopped being outdoor equipment and became tiny worlds filled with laughter.

04. In Their Own Words
| “I’m usually busy at work and rarely have the chance to spend time with my child, who lives back in our hometown. Today she handed me tent pegs, pulled the guylines, and said, ‘Mom is so careful—our tent looks beautiful.’ My heart felt so warm, as though a little sun had shone on it. Even the hardest days at work feel worthwhile. The company also put real thought into the event gift, and my child loved it.”— Quality inspector and mother |

05. Every Child Is a Star
The event presented three awards: “Sturdiest Little Shelter,” “Most Beautiful Home,” and “Best Parent–Child Teamwork.” Every child received a small gift—a custom Sunshine compass and a multifunctional educational board game. The prizes were simple, but the children’s smiles in front of their tents shone brighter than the July sun.
06. One Summer Moment, Captured
To close the event, each family stood in front of the tent they had built, with parents holding their children close. With every click of the shutter, the gentlest moments of summer were preserved.

07. The Tents Came Down, but the Feeling of Home Remained
When the event ended, the tents returned to the warehouse and the lawn grew quiet again. Yet employees knew their children had spent the morning running and laughing on the company grounds—and saying, “Dad’s company is wonderful.” That sense of belonging can bring more reassurance than any conventional team-building activity.

Sunshine is more than a place to work. It can also become part of a child’s happiest memories: the warm place where Mom or Dad works—and where families can build a tent together.
Care That Continues beyond a Single Event
The summer employee–child program is an important part of Sunshine’s family-care initiative and a meaningful expression of the company’s core value of self-cultivation. Sunshine has long regarded its employees as treasured members of one family and turned care into practical support—from scholarships for employees’ children and family assistance grants to summer childcare, family appreciation days, trips for outstanding employees and their loved ones, and thoughtful everyday benefits.
Care is not a one-off event. It is a steady current that runs through the lives of employees and their families.
This year’s family-care program continues and deepens that tradition. Sunshine will also introduce parent–child reading sessions, art competitions, and other shared activities, creating more opportunities for emotional connection and growth. We believe care should extend far beyond the present. It means lasting support and companionship, so that behind every dedicated employee stands a home filled with warmth.
See you on the lawn next summer.
